These 2 pack cotton socks, in navy, are made of combed cotton. A slightly more attractively priced cotton type than what many other items from the Carlo Lanza collection are made of. Still of excellent quality, by the way. Combed cotton is a shorter cotton fiber and is therefore slightly less rare than the Egyptian cotton variety, for example. The big difference is the look & feel. Combed cotton is softer and feels slightly 'woozier'. In addition, combed cotton is generally slightly less good at retaining color, compared to more expensive cotton varieties. Yet this is the top quality in its class and these socks are good considering the price and quality ratio. 

Of course, these socks are made in Italy and the toe is hand-jointed. This means that you have no noticeable seam at the toe, and can therefore enjoy optimal wearing comfort. Also with the basic line socks.
